Lesson 8 - E-shop in PHP - Transactions, emails, frameworks

In the previous lesson, E-shop in PHP - Configuring and enhancing the DB wrapper, we started "mastering" our framework beyond the original project's limits and added functions that we'll need to make the e-shop (as well as any similarly advanced project). In today's tutorial, we'll finish up with the vendor folder and then move on to the public folder.

Transactions

As you already know, database transactions are absolute necessities in real business applications (MySQL supports them via the InnoDB storage engine, which is now default). There is nothing worse than having inconsistent data in a database after something fails in the middle of a task. We want the command sequence to capable of being executed as a whole, e.g. both the user and address will be inserted, or not at all.
